The unforggetable sunset

Three months ago my friend came to me and said “I know you love sunsets, so tomorrow I’m gone take you to some place where you can see it until it hides in the horizon. Then the next day we left Addis Ababa the capital city of Ethiopia. We were passing by small towns like KALITY, AKAKI (the industry zone) and DUKEM. In dukem there were many butcher shops. Since it is very popular to eat raw meat in Ethiopian culture. But in dukem “WOW” it’s too many I counted like 45 shops in a one raw.
After we pass Dukem there’s MODJO the dry port of Addis. In the area of the port you can see different kinds of huge containers, cars, machineries…… then there’s a town called MEKI. Meki is known for their bigger fish and kolo. One of the residents told me that the fishes are so big they can weigh like 2 kilo’s each. Then after meki there’s koka. Koka is lake that the first hydro power plant was built in the early days while the country was ruled by the emperor.
Then when we left koka there’s ARUSI NEGELE. Arusi is a bigger town than meki. It’s more like a rural area. You can see wide fields with crops or with cows, oxen, sheep’s or goats here and there. It’s a refreshing place so we stopped our car and take a rest there. Its 150 km from Addis Ababa. So I and my friend agreed to take a rest in there.
We were so amazed that we saw a huge green field. It’s so huge that you can see it as far as your eyes can see until the horizon. When we were admiring the place a farmer saw as from a far distance he was shouting and waving his hand, so wave back. He came towards us by running. After he catch he’s breath he greeted us and asked what were we doing in his farm. We told him we were just admiring the place. Then he told us that he grows corn, wheat, sorgum……etc and many other more.
When we were talking to him the sun was about to set and it was so beautiful. The sky was turning in too a golden color and I was taking pictures of the sunset. The sun was like a pretty golden ball placed on the sky. There were no mountains to hide the sun so we watched it till it became dark. It was so sensesational I couldn’t take off my eyes. while when we were watching the sunset I asked the farmer” you must be really lucky watching a sunset this beautiful ……I’m I right?” then he said “you came all the all way to watch a sunset? I never noticed it this close but its nice “. we thanked him and startreturn journey to the capital city and that’s the first time I saw a cute sunset of all time.
