I have a travel plan when I came to England for exchange student. But Spain wasn't exactly on the the top list.
I'm working as a commis chef in the hotel, we only get to see our next week rota three days or even less before next week begins, it can be hard to plan ahead if we want to travel.
Last week, I found out I have Monday and Tuesday off followed by my Saturday and Sunday off when I finished my shift on last Friday night, it was midnight as I remembered. And my friends invited me to party with them after work, so I went back home around 3 in the morning. When I got home, thinking I have four days off this weekend, I should definitely do something, do not want to waste the four days.
I started searching on the Internet, found out the ticket to Spain is even cheaper than going to somewhere in England, so I booked the ticket at 4 in the morning, spend 20 minutes packing and fly to Barcelona 8 in the morning.
It was a trip without any plans, I explored the city on my own, met few friends from different countries along the way. Get to know different part of the city because everyone are here for different reasons. Traveling alone can be lonely sometimes, but the best part is you get to meet new people, normally when traveling in groups, we stay within our groups and less interaction with others.
I didn't expect I would had so much fun in Barcelona, I think what makes a place special and memorable is not how beautiful this place is, is the people you meet and whose being part of the journey.
