My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Photography was never something I thought I would be so much involved in. It has always been fun to do but I was never obsessed with it. My passion for moving images was much greater. I studied Cinematography for 2 years but during that time I started taking more and more photographs with the same mindset as when I'm shooting a film. I work well in a group as a team, but by myself I flourish. My photographic skills developed quickly and the only barrier which could hold me back was myself. My cinematography background and training has shaped my eye into a very well-crafted tool for telling a story together with attention to detail and composition as well working long hard hours on film sets caring heavy equipment. I soon found myself shooting more stills. My biggest passion has now become photography. I see it as more of an art form now than I did before.
By winning this scholarship I hope to grow the amount of people my stories are exposed to, tell more untold stories, broaden my chosen path of photography and branch out into new ventures which would otherwise not be possible.
