My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Mohammed and live in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I work at an international company as an Account Receivable team leader.
I live the first 16 years of my life at a small village in the middle of nowhere. And photography like so many things was a dream so far away. I couldn’t afford the camera, the film or the development. But I never stopped dreaming of the day when I can afford a camera and start shooting.
I manly shoot Landscapes, but I tried and I’m trying everything. I recently participated in a local competition called “Colors of Saudi”. I Submitted two pictures. Both where finalists and one of them won me the 8th place in the nature category.
I dream of traveling the world and get to know it better while it’s still there. I also want learn more and more and more about photography. My skill so far were all gained from trial and error. So an opportunity like this would be a great start to learn new skill from professionals. Plus I’ve always wanted to visit Oman ?
