My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Mexico | Sunday, January 13, 2013 | 5 photos
Over the last 10 years I've been working with some of society's most fragile populations. I started off studying addictions and soon after I found myself working with homeless individuals suffering with addiction and mental health among others in what is said to be Canada's poorest postal code. Now I work in a rehabilitative psychiatric unit treating people with difficult to treat psychosis.
I love the outdoors; I love adventure and chasing life. I don’t shy away from straying off the beaten path to dare the unknown. Whenever I wonder into the great beyond my camera is always there to chronicle my journey.
Recently I’ve become very passionate about social justice issues. I spend much of my free time asking tough questions and I don’t hesitate to challenge the status quo both in voice and in art. I’m interested in doing some freelance photojournalism. Currently I’m working on setting up a blog hosting some of my political musings including photo essays. But for now I am content chasing the small things whether pleasant or otherwise that fills this world in hope that my pictures will inspire even just a few to start asking some of those tough questions too.
