As I was planning my trip to Crete with my two daughters, I was looking on the internet for some information about atractions for kids in Crete, and found non. As Crete is a popular family vecation destination I was a bit puzzeled.
So I decided to record all the places we went to, we meaning myself, Grandmma and Noa, 3 years old and Abigial, 20 months.
The beach is a good option anytime (well... in summer before 11AM or after 5PM) even if your kids are not beach animals, they learn to love it rather quick. The swimming pool is usually more aplealing for the little ones and less messy, but it's much harder getting them out of the water. At any case, if your kids know who to swimm, your life will be much easier.
So far I found one indore playground (a gimbory) at a coffee place by the lake. It's fun for the kids, you can get a sank and look at the beautiful saroundings. However, a huge place for kids, have no high chairs for babies... go figure!
The Hania public garden (kifo) was a wunderful discovery. A very big shaded area with a great playground (quite safe even), lots of space to walk around and a very nice caffee. There are other playgrounds around the city, but this one is by far the best!
