Getting Out There

The inspiration for this film has been my daily commute. I take the metro to work every day and get to see a wide variety of places within the region. We hope this film will encourage people to explore it with us.

My experience in film making has been largely built on amateur projects. I'm currently part of a small company producing zero budget features. I went on to study Media Production at university and I currently work as a media technician for a local high school.

As a film maker, my dream is really the same as any: make it to a position where I can start producing the films I want to see. Ideally, I would attain a career as a producer or director. Currently, simply making a living from any aspect of film production is my goal.

Winning this scholarship would be doubly gratifying for me. It would finally open up the world of travel, which is something I've been trying to do for several years now but lacked the funding for. It would also set me on the path to a much more professional level of film making.

If nothing else, it would confirm my ability as a film maker which I think is something everyone entering would like to receive.
