My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited
Japan | Wednesday, June 26, 2013 | 5 photos
I think we only get one chance to be alive. So while I'm here I would like to see as much as possible, and document those moments to share with people -- both to inspire, and also to help people to see what amazing things exist in this world.
I want to understand everything. I want to understand other people. I love learning about new languages and cultures. I speak English, French, German, Japanese and am currently learning Chinese and Arabic.
I love adventuring. I am prone to wandering around until I am properly lost, and then try to find my way back to my original location. It's that feeling of being lost in a new culture that is like a dream to me. I love that feeling of being challenged by my environment, and then rising to meet its demands. I also love the mountains. There aren't too many in Nova Scotia where I'm from, but I've hiked Mt. Robson out in Western Canada, as well as hiked a section of the alps along the south German/Austrian border. Last year I lived in Japan, and most of my time traveling there was spent biking or hiking.
Also, I'm pretty friendly and think that I make a good shooting and travel companion. Geronimo!
