Cheeky Filapino boys, what's new.

MALAYSIA | Friday, 18 November 2011 | Views [364]

This morning woke at 5.30am, what's new.  Its lighter much earlier this further north.

The hotel is on the shore and I took some images of the grand hotel and the old interesting boats moored.

Went round one block away, and as expected, here was normal Malaysia, normal price.  I had teh tarik for 1.40, not 13.  The stall boss is Sri Lankan and the staff 4 Filapino boys from Mindanao - not far from here and not a good place.

So, I'm warning about pickpockets and bad bad Filapinos but, on the surface these boys were keen to talk when I said 'tagalog?'.  Of course they were cheeky and asked for tips, miss? but I said, NZers don't tip but can I take your picture?  Posing as usual, they gave a couple of great images.

Further on, another stall, they do chicken adobo for only MRY9  ($NZ 3.60) so bear that in mind for dinner.

I've been on this almost an hour and hotel buffet breakfast is now appealing. 8am.  Not sure when I can write again as in the bush tonight, then we do return to this hotel.

Thinking of you all, and don't be worried about new clients, they will be out there, and the website will help.
