Throwing Down

The most attractive part of this scholarship for me is the adventures it requires, traveling, going to a camp, getting to know the locals and making it result in a short documentary. Actually if I want to make long story of life short, for me it's going after adventures and so combating the everyday routine, that's what I've always been trying to do, doing different activities of journalism, teaching, writing, translating, painting, learning new languages, calligraphy, landscape design,... and studying in different fields. I hope someday as a documentary maker I'll be able to use these experiences by collecting them in a meaningful whole.
I got aware of this scholarship just two days ahead of the deadline and despite all others' discouragement; I was so eager about it that I didn't think about it and just started. If I can get it, it would be such a turning point in my life, drastically changing my way of living in the direction I've always dreamed about.

This is my first experience and what inspired my subject was the loving memory of a lost friend.
