Worldwide | Sunday, October 30, 2011 | 4 photos
im megan ill be 18 in april 2012. i hope you will still consider my application as i am 4 months away from 18 years. i am an australian citizen who was born in south africa. i moved to perth australia in 2006. i am graduating from high school this year and have done photography for the last two years. my plans so far are to attend BYU university next year and study photography, my dream job would involve traveling all over the globe taking photos. being chosen for this would be amazing because i would be able to experience what its like to take photos with a professional. i will be able to see what its like to travel and take photos and it will be an experience i never forget. i am still learning about photography and how to properly use a camera, i currently have a Canon 600D and this is the camera i use for my shots. my photos were taken in busselton at the busselton jetty and also at canal rocks. i chose these images because they show the small hidden or sometimes unseen beauty of nature. the two busselton shots (tree, wooden panels) are simple but they are clean and beautiful. the other two are shots from canal rocks. the water against the rock is powerful and strong and is representative of the forces of nature. the simple water between the cracks shot shows the water calm and smooth. these photos tell the story of the smaller things in nature that people may overlook or miss.
