A tale of timeworn temples

A sculpture showing a woman engaged in a dance form.
The channakeshava temple is more known for the “SHILABALIKE” (Images of woman carved in stone) all around the temple each one engaged in different activities, These sculptures even have interesting names such “SHUKA BHASHINI”, “DARPAN SUNDAR”.

It is said that the people hid the temple from invaders by covering it up completely under sand due to which it is still intact.
