Belur temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna (CHANNAKESHAVA), finest example of Hoysala workmanship. It was built by a king in 1117 AD. It is said that it took 103 years to complete this temple. This temple is famous for its wealth of sculptural details, which no two sculptures are similar. This temple has existed for almost 1000 years and are definitely worth seeing; the detailed carvings are music to eyes.
