I am Marco Reyes. I am 25 years old, and I am a writer. Writing is a passion I had since I was very young, accompanied with a voracious appetite for reading.
When I was in my teens, the written word was my medium. It appeared to me that there was no other, better way to convey meaning but through weaving words into sentences, and sentences into paragraphs of length and profundity.
While earning my journalism degree, a newfound respect for photographs was born. No matter how astutely defined and described, words are sometimes insufficient to convey the true nature of a subject.
Photographs are meant to complete a story. Added with the written word, photographs tell the story of life and of the world.
I have always been fascinated with acquiring and sharing knowledge. This has been the philosophy behind my degree. The world is a heterogeneous mixture of information in the form of cultures and races, and of art and architecture.
I wish to share what I see with other people with perfect clarity, expressing through images what is too good for words. But in order to do that, I have to see more of the world. If knowledge is indeed wealth, then, by all means, it is meant to be shared.
