The Bay of Islands, on the East Coast of New Zealand North Island has many inhabited islands. In 1927 the Fullers "Cream Trip" delivered post and supplies and collected "Cream" and milk. Today the trip, following the same route, is a tourist attraction, still delivering supplies. Starting in Paihia the first port of call is Russell (Pictured), the original NZ capital, or the "Hell Hole of the Pacific" as it was then known (1830), now a tourist destination.
