Hi my name is jake and i live in Perth, Western Australia. i'm 21 years old and i have just completed my bachelor of applied science in architecture. My interest in photography stemmed from my dad but it was only once i started my bachelor, that for the first time i was being challenged artistically to view the world through new eyes and my photos began to mean something.

The five photos that i chose represent my understanding of the world that came about from my studies. Image 1: represents the nature of man in balance. Image 2 the cup of life has fallen over and man begins to access his new surrounding. Image 3: man begins to questions his own creation. Image 4: man is now lost in his own actions, on a path of destruction. image 5: has a biblical reference that in the end, we shall return to dust and reflects mans realisation on his past actions.

This trip would greatly assist me in my studies as i plan to do my masters of architecture and a greater sense of place within the world would widen my sensibility for others and new cultures. secondly I work well in groups leading and following and lastly i have never studied photography so i am hungry for advice and will listen well.
