My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

It was this time of the year 2009 end I was going through the mixed feeling of being left out as a banker due to global setbacks and was happy about following my passion in photography.
Immediately as an amateur, started to club my passion towards travelling, exploring new places and capture those mesmerizing moments. In early 2010, I visited a beautiful city of Jaisalmer also known once a sleepy desert city situated in center of THAR desert of Rajasthan, India. This city is known for its fort known as SONAR QUILLA (Fort Made of Sand Stone which shines like gold when Sun rays fall on them).
The photos, depicts the life of a local who earns living by being a tourist guide. The pictures uploaded tells how a local there starts the day in the misty desert, on a camel as a source of transport, looks for the people interested in exploring the place. Helps them spot mixture of ancient and the medieval era architecture, the beautiful amalgamation catches one’s fancy. Share the knowledge which they have gathered from there ancestors and ends the day with the satisfaction of little earnings and knowledge being shared again in laps of desert.
I believed in taking a perfect frame, and never thought of corrections using software’s. However realized, that presentation is equally important, though lack of technical knowledge is really very frustrating. The opportunity of being trained under the hands of world known expert shall be a boon for me to make my career in travel and wildlife photography. I thank NGC and Worldnomads.com for providing a wonderful opportunity and carving careers. My flickr link is http://www.flickr.com/photos/maulikpujara/
