We have just spent a week on an island, that has no traffic and you can walk around in 1 hour and 15 minutes!
My niece Emma and Sue & Graham in New Zealand have reccommended that we go there.
We arrive on the 'Fast Boat', we are told that it will take 1 hour to 1 hour 20 minutes, to get to Gili Air, we are booked the 8.30 a.m. We eventually arrive on the island at 11.40!
We are met by lots of people wanting our business. We have our lonely planet, so get on the 'pony and trap' to find a room. The first few are full, then we find one for about 17.50p it has no hot water and the shower is a plastic pipe coming out of the wall with one hole drilled in the end!! It is the most 'laid-back' place I have ever stayed.
We originally plan to stay 2-3 days, one week later we eventually leave
