It is very hard to find nowadays that somebody see world in a different way, and look for common people that agree about the fact that we must feel our planet and share much more love with all living beans that are around us. There must be ways we can show to this world that they can’t give up their hands from fight for this planet, we must struggle and fight for our Earth, the creatures that are part of us as the same as we are part of each other. I see this scholarship as an opportunity to help this planet, to reveal its beauty to the world. I know that my picture can’t make the world better, but if I get this opportunity I would feel much better and alive if I know that I have a chance to be a part of such magnificent and pure world of African nature and to show it to the world, through my eyes.
My name is Masha Pavlovic, I’m from Serbia, a small country in South-Eastern Europe. I finished Academy of Arts, where I was studying photography for 4 years. Now I’m working as a photojournalist in regional magazine about nature and animals. In the spare time I’m volunteering in animal and ecology organizations. Taking picture and spending time with animals in nature is my passion and the only way of living that I know, but unfortunately, I don’t have chances to travel around the world. I think that this would be a lifetime opportunity for me, not just to take pictures but to have a chance to meet National Geographic professional photographers, to learn from my idols, to see how it looks like to be a part of such a big community where every job is connected with animals and nature, my biggest love and only true inspiration. There can’t be a bigger happiness for me than to meet and actually get in touch with African culture, to see giraffes peacefully enjoying the sun, or cheetah who is seeking an antelope in early morning!
I think that this scholarship could bring me a lot of experience and give me motivation to work hard and to find easier ways to get in touch with similar organizations which aim is to help and protect our nature and all its beauties.
