Serene look. I never imagined I would find in the market, an expresion with such profound sadness and at the same time confidence. The fruit seller who gave his consent to take this photo of one single look.

The photos I have chosen for my presentation were taken during a recent trip to Algeria. I don´t wish to show images of the landscapes of this country but of its people. My attention was centred on the hidden strength in the gaze of each person. The intimate and respected vision of people who I came across, left a lasting impression in my mind.

The old man who was not even aware of my presence, he was so absorbed in his reading, , he gave me an instant of his daily life, full of peace and tranquility.

Killing time.

There are many ways to kill time.
One of them is what these men in the village of Ain en Bell did, interrupting their entertaining conversation to focus their attention on my camara lens.
In this case I didn´t forget that in order to portray a person it is essential that there exists a climate of confidence and respect, independent of the place and situation.
