Dorothy Falls lies hidden deep within the mountains of Hokitika. Quite appropriately for gold fosicking area the freezing cold river flowing from the pool fosters a lovely deep golden color.

En-route to Hokitika on the West Coast, passing through breath taking mountain ranges on Arthurs Pass which still boasts some ice capped mountain tips in the midst of summer.

This enormous wheelbarrow which marks the southern entry into Hokitika and the pride of the town on New Zealand's West Coast is one of the world's biggest working wheelbarrows.
