This isn't technically the first day. This is, however, a major day in my step towards going to Malta. Today I bought traveler's insurance. It's a big deal, especially considering I spent a week in South Korea with no traveler's insurance. I had no idea I even needed it. It's funny to think I'm becoming a traveler and that it was stupid of me to travel without insurance. Who would have thought?
According to my gmail account, the first day of this journey started when I bought the ticket back in December. I knew I had to do it right then and there otherwise I never would. Now I know to wait a little bit and try to get the tickets cheaper. Silly me haha. But it's okay. It's a learning experience, and honestly this is the first time I feel like I'm learning from my mistakes. And it feels amazing. It feels like I'm finally experiencing something on my own and learning how to do something all by myself. I'm slowly becoming the person I want to be and travel will help me do that.
Things I've learned thus far:
- Never travel without traverler's insurance
- Wait until about nine weeks before you need to leave to buy your ticket
Now I need to find ticket's to ATL. I leave out of ATL and no one can drive me so I'm going to look for tickets there and back and... Buy them. T_T Such a waste of money, but I suppose it's for the best. After such a long flight I wouldn't want to sit in a car for four hours. Or maybe I would.
