My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

As a child in the early 70's, I sat on the counter in the darkroom watching my grandmother develop photos for her newspaper job. I went to work with her often. When we returned home we met Grandpa, toting his reel-to reel as he returned from the news station. They taught me composition.
Choosing a different career path, I recently came back to my childhood teaching to find a home in my heart for photography. I've volunteered & earned some income at a local government station & recently doing still work for a marathon company.
I'm good at composition, yet my technical & base photographic knowledge is in the seed stage. I have entered a stage of life that happiness & creativity is my goal at all times. I recognize I am a photographer, & am enjoying the journey as I learn the basics of this craft.
I smile as I do this work/play, even when I'm tired. I could hardly wait to go to the high country to shoot an adventure for this exercise and to turn 400 photos into 5.
I would like to study with Jason, because my photographic experience has not been outside of Colorado. I want to expand my people, my places and my wisdom. I would love to thrive with a highly experienced teacher.
