JOURNEY IN UNKNOWN CULTURE
My first journey to
the country with unknown culture was Istanbul.
In this short essay I’ll describe you my unforgettable feelings about this
magic city.
I went to undiscovered
country with some stereotypes which I got from friend's instructions. But coming
back from the place of my destination I was really surprised with all beauty of
this different country and unknown traditions.
Before my trip to Turkey I expected to meet with truly
oriented world. Hostile to Christian European culture world which is specific
with its old traditions. I read much about clashes of civilizations and was
ready for danger trip.
My first impression of Istanbul. Greatness city with bright colors
and gloomy flowers, unexpected sights, spick and span. Huge modern and noisy
megapolis could preserve historical destiny, cultural heritage and power of
religion unity.
Daily Istanbul
is full with smell of different flowers, sea and aroma of fresh buns. It’s full
with noise of thousands cars and millions of people, seagull yelling and
sounding ships.
Night Istanbul
deserves special concern. You just need to feel its spirit because when you are
there you cannot think or look overall. Your brains stop and then only heart
and soul start to sing and glorify that amazing beauty.
Night life in Istanbul is special! You
can walk around city enjoying night lights and tremendous bridges, breathing
sea smell and straining ears to listen fiery music Hande Yener and Sertap Erener
with sense of eternity.
You can walk all night
around Taksim square and at the same time feeling yourself cosmopolitan...
And when you are
driving swiftly by car with open windows you feel yourself as free bird without
any sense of time, duties or pressure....only you, wind, road, speed and exciting
amazement of Istanbul
beauty...
You admire with all
places you visit every day and it cannot become bored. Every new look is
special and fresh!
I’ve never expected
that Istanbul
is so huge, modern, amazing. The city of contemporary art and urban culture.
The inspiration city. Wonderful city of my dream!!!
Everything around me
was new, fresh, modern, and full of surprises and suddenness.
The most inspiring
city in the world! No doubt I felt myself better than even at home. Only there
I really firstly felt truly taste of adventure.
The city of admiration.
All another cities are mortal but Istanbul
will last until human live.
