Born in Hojai in 1983, Maruf Alom is a freelancer creative Nature photographer. Studied Post Graduate in Mass Communication (specialization in electronic media) at Cotton College, Guwahati and attended Film Appreciation course at prestigious Film Institute (FTII) Pune in the year 2010.

Commerce Graduating from Hojai College in 2004, I joined NRHM as District Media Expert in the yaer 2006. By virtue of my post I have been editing NRHM bi-lingual house journal “Khaagarijan Swathya Patrika”.

I started to directing film & documentaries since student of Mass Comm, my recent directed movie “Rengnoni” produced by DHS, Nagaon, veteran artists of Assamese film industry were worked in the short film.

Started photography from my college days, I am a regular up loader of www.assamtimes.org, http://www.healthheroes.eu/, http://www.demotix.com/  etc sites. My Photographs published dailies like “The Telegraphs, The Sentinel, Aji, Natun Dainik, Sadinia Jamiath.
