Travel Photography Scholarship 2010

About martintraggio

I saw the advertisement for the scholarship and felt this was what I have been looking for, I felt had to apply. The reason why you should choose me, is because I have always had a passion for photography, I always carry my camera in my backpack. I have always loved to travel and see and learn from new cultures. I am a person open to new experiences and love to learn and study new things. Knowledge is one of the greatest things in the world. Through photography I can capture the country as a whole. I am really good with people and I always look forward to meeting new people. I am a fun and an easy going person to be with and a very responsible with my work. This is why I am sure I am suitable for the assignment. Fortunately I could travelled a lot with my family since I was very young, but for me it is never enough, I would love to see more places and learn from them. This scholarship is one of the greatest opportunities I would ever have in my life, and about which I have always dreamed of. Having the opportunity to assist the well known photographer Jason Edwards. I will hand in some pictures I took in Argentina. It was very hard to choose some photographs that had a story, and it was a real story. I was on the east coast of Patagonia, about 1,388 km for Buenos Aires the capital of Argentina. I sleeping in my tent and something woke me up and I could smell fish. I grabbed my camera, a truck with the boat stop next to me, a fisherman got out . He was a interesting subject so I started to shoot. First I took some of the landscape, and his boat. Then shot the processes where the fisherman was looking at the open sea contemplating and walking on the sand from side to side, then using a huge net to fish. After a few hours his boat was over flowing with fish. I hope you like my photographs and I would really love to be able to get this scholarship, and have this great experience to learn. Sincerely, Martin T Raggio
