My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Martino and I am an Italian freelance reporter who works since almost 8 years in Italy, and since last year I am also trying to use my journeys to make reportage from other countries. My job is to tell what interesting I meet, writing it, and after many years of practice I do it pretty well. But, still like amateur, I am also trying to learn to tell the stories I find with pictures, because I think photography is a complete communication form: writing you can give a lot of information, but taking beautiful pictures you can give emotions too. For me is truth the adage: a photo is worth a thousand words. So I would like to be able to take that beautiful picture to make a complete reportage, informed but also exciting for readers. I chose to apply for your travel photography scholarship because I think it can teach me this: your judgment criteria caught my attention for the importance that they give to learning experience of the photographic technique and the capture of images that should tell a story. I wish to learn, and I think I can earn even more in a rough place, but fascinating and rich in stimuli, such as Greenland. Thanks and yours sincerely, Martino.
