My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

London, a city of shadows running fast against the light. Invisible figures walk through the metropolis inmersed in their daily run, without laughing, smiling, crying, singing...Feelings vanished in the rain.
Shadows, that slowly dissapear in the night and let the city sleep in peace.

I tried to reflect through my photographs how I felt when I visited London, life went fast, housands of people where all day running through the streets without a break, there was no time to enjoy. I felt like an invisible black shadow that no one saw and everyone stepped over without noticing.

I collect magazines of National Geographic since I was a kid and traveled thanks to them. My dream since I'm five is to photograph and get to know every country of the world and show it to others that aren't so fortunate. My grandma never had the opportunity to leave her hometown to see the world, that's why when I come back from a trip I always show her my pictures and she gets to travel with me through my visual experiences.

Pictures description:

Houses of Parliament and Big Ben: The city begins it's day, thousands of busy londoners have been walking in front of the Parliament and following the clock of the Big Ben for more than 200 years.

Busy londoners: Londoners run without a stop, they are the blood in the veins of the city.

British Museum: Treasures wait still to be seen by millions of spectators of all over the world.

St. Pauls Cathedral: Tea break at the top of the Tate Modern Art Museum, contemplating how people as big as little ants walk through the Millenium Bridge to S. Paul's Cathedral.

Trafalgar Square: Four lions defend the London hear and Nelson's Column from the tourist that want to climb the monument.
