My Scholarship entry - Bits and pieces of a life in the Arctic (Svalbard)

Norway | Wednesday, November 19, 2014 | 5 photos

I am finishing my degree in journalism in Barcelona and I’ve decided I want to try and find my place in the photojournalism world. I studied and worked at a newspaper last year in Bergen, Norway, as a photographer. And also worked in a personal project taking photos of life in the High Arctic in Svalbard, an archipelago located 78º north that politically belongs to Norway.

I think I should be chosen because I am a 21 years old restlessly hard-working journalist thirsty for new stories to tell. I am an explorer and adventurer that has driven to the Sahara desert in a tiny car, taken a route around Turkey, visited nearly every country in Europe and lived in the North Pole. I join any adventure and always try to give my best.

Me and my Nikon D600 are searching fresh stories and innovative ideas, always with a critical idea. My objective? Traveling around the globe. If you want to know a bit more about myself don't hesitate to check my website: http://martapascualjuanola.wix.com/photojournalist
