Bangkok: The City of Something More

Marsha was a virgin, when it comes to traveling. She didn't know what to do while traveling. All she knew was to take pictures and try the local food.
One day, Marsha went to Bangkok with her friends for the first time. She brought her short pants and t-shirts with her, along with her favorite pair of blue sandals. She tried fried crickets and scorpions. She finished a portion of mango sticky rice, which was actually very delicious. She went to the night markets. She said hi to numerous friendly Thai people.
She walked for some more, longing to discover a crazier side of Bangkok. Bangkok has been known as a 'dangerous' city anyway, but she didn't mean to invite danger. She just wanted to see something she has never seen before.
It was an ordinary day. The weather was nice. Nice, because it's sunny but it didn't make her feel like taking a shower every five minutes. So, it was a lovely day. Just like any other tourists, Marsha took a long walk. She stopped by to buy the famous iced thai tea, and then walked for some more.
She told herself, "I kind of like this city. But I want to see something unique."
She discovered "The Tiger Show."
The place was dark and secluded, it's right around the corner. It looked like a secret strip club. She walked in to watch a man and a woman having sex on stage.
But the moment when she saw a Thai woman lit up the candle using her vagina, was when she realized she knew nothing about everything.
She sipped her beer, and suddenly the woman on stage decided to pull out razors out of her vagina. Marsha's head was filled with questions, mostly "Why???"
She looked around, and she realized that she was the only woman in that place. The others were guys from around the world, looking as amused as she was. But she bet those guys didn't question their womanhood.
So she waited until the show was over, to talk to the woman. When their eyes met, the woman, whose name was "Dao", approached her and smiled. Marsha asked, "How long have you....did it hurt...how...why?" Basically a series of imperfect questions. She was just too amused to ask a complete question.
Dao smiled and answered in perfect english, "I started four years ago, it hurt for a while. But to see the look on people's faces, like yours, kept me going. It made me feel like I could blow people's minds."
Bangkok did blow, and twist Marsha's mind. And she loved it.
