Well, this is it! It's time to say goodbye to Portland where I've called "home" for the past two years. I must say I'm still in denial and it hasn't hit me yet that I'm leaving... As I've told many of you, I'm not very good at blogging but I will do my best! To be frank, it's easy at the moment, as it's a great way to put off packing! Tomorrow I leave Portland to return home (Frankfort, Indiana) for a week to see my family and few friends who are still in the Midwest, say goodbye, and take care of mom (She just had both of her hips replaced today!)
Good news! Monday I found out I'll be placed in the port city of Puerto Montt in the Los Lagos Region located in Southern Chile! The photos online look gorgeous and the guidebooks say it looks a lot like Vancouver, B.C. Ironically, the weather and climate are very similiar to the Pacific Northwest. We'll see if anything else is the same...
