First Trip To Coffs Harbour This journal contains a selection of photos taken during my first trip to Coffs Harbour, a regional city located at the east coast of Australia, in the northern part of New South Wales.

About marinemammals

Greetings. My name is Jason Wu. I’m a material engineering graduate from the University of New South Wales. From a very young age, my passion had been science. It allows me to understand the physical world we live in, why things are the way they are.

Photography not only enables us to capture people’s emotions, special moments in our lives, but it can also convey important messages to everyone around the world, such environmental conservation, climate change, etc.

With photography, I strive for details in my photos. From materials science, I’ve learnt that microstructures of everything affect the overall properties of any materials. This is analogous to photography. I think photos with great amount of details would convey their messages more precisely, and can better capture our attention.

By winning this scholarship, I hope that through photography, it will open up many opportunities for me to learn more about this mysterious and wonderful world we are living in today.
