And there were kisses....

Anchorage, Alaska: One cold afternoon, it was supposed to be summer, well, summer in Alaska. Alone, hungry and feeling a little tired, I wandered around, past shops and signs, until one caught my eye. "Movies". So, I bought myself a ticket, and headed into the dark theatre. Tiny, old-fashioned, with worn velvet seats, there wasn't a soul. I sat there resting in the semi-darkness, until all of a sudden, the side doors burst open to let in a mother with an entire armada of little eskimos. She sat down, but they ran around, laughing, then caught sight of me. And then they proceeded to climb onto my lap, crawl all over me, laughing, cooing, touching my hair; it was a moment of grace and tenderness; innocence and pure energy. Just what I needed after a weeks of backpacking up along the coast.
