Another tourist in Paris

I walked around the city. Sometimes I used the map, sometimes I just followed my senses. Of course, just as any metropolis Paris has different faces. It's magnificent, it's gorgeous, it's romantic, but it's also the dirtiest European city I have ever seen and offers you the most disgusting images right in the middle of the day just as you are changing metro lines. Living here can feel so lonely. People pass you by, running fast, being late, not caring.

As usual, the thing that interested me the most was what it is like to live in Paris. Would I enjoy spending my time in these streets if I had been born in this city? Would I appreciate the beauty of Paris? What does it feel like to grow up here, to go to school in Paris, to hang out with your friends next to the Panthéon and the Sorbonne? I observed every person in the street and imagined what it would be like to be a Parisienne.

But at the same time Paris is fun, it's social, people meet their friends, go out, wear fancy clothes, walk their dogs, sit in the parks smoking cigars.I observed everything and everybody around me and let the city unfold its character to me. Paris was sunny, it was colourful, it was international, it was full of inspiration. Paris has its charm, this imperfection which is somehow so attractive you can't resist. Paris gets to your heart, and you know you will come back.
