From my multicultural family I inherited an imagination for exploration and a love of vibrant cultures. I’m happiest when I’m out seeing the world, meeting its people and trying to capture my experiences to share with others.
When I’m not off on an adventure I’m working to pay for the next one. My grey office wall is plastered with snaps of colourful places. But I don’t want to get stuck in a day job. I want to challenge myself, kick my photography to the next level and turn my passion into a career.
I think photography can connect a viewer to a subject with a power and energy that transcends religion, ethnicity, and geography. It’s hard to explain what makes a great photograph but you know it when you see it. I hope to discover how to construct those really great shots, how to capture a connection and how to do it professionally, consistently…and to a deadline.
Will my photographs change perceptions and make the world a better place? Who knows! What I hope is in the few moments a person is looking at my photograph they will be filled with an emotional connection for a stranger, a flicker of adventure and a sense of wonder in the world.
