Kapani market has always been my favorite place in Thessaloniki because of its originality, its colorful cryziness and its charming and mixed caracter, which is a result of the obvious influence of the Orient, the Balcans and the Mediterranea. For me it represents this troubled but in own way beatiful city. I was up to start this project a lot of time ago and this scholarship was the trigger to do it.
I am a student of the school of cinema of Greece. My goal is to progress myshelf as filmmaker and storyteller and to travel all around the world making documentaries. I think that there are really interesting stories out there about extraordinary paoples, who could give a positive view to every stressed man, and magic places, which make every troubled mind travel. My ambition is to go out there, discover this stories and present them back to the people offering them a taste of the multifaced, bittersweet and always exciting life. So i thing this scholarship will bring me a step closer to my goal as it will give my the oportunity to work with some of the most charismatics and creative personalities on the field of travel documentary.
