Guanambi

Guanambi is a Brazilian city from Bahia state. The city is situated to the 800KM to the capital, Salvador. The city has 70 inhabitants, with a strong influence in commercial area.

Guanambi has a demography density of 58,5 KM2, it has attitude of 525 meters over the level of the sea. It has an area 1.302KM2, according to IBGE, this area is considered relatively small.

It also is spot in the health, so in it has the main hospitals of the region. Its temperature is average 22,6 C , it rains between September to March.

Guanambi limits with the cities Caetité, Igaporã, Pindaí, Candiba, Palmas de Monte Alto e Sebastião Laranjeiras.

As the demography aspect it isn’t different of the other cities of the Bahia where we can see the increase of the urban population. While it shows a decrease countryside population.

The first elementary school of Guanambi, began to work around 1928, and its first state school, Getúlio Vargas, set up on November 10TH, 1938.

Since the end of the decade of 80’s. Guanambi is standing out each time more, in whereas the cities known as educational centers. Coming several courses by UNEB, Faculdade Guanambi, FTC, among other teaching placers, it is call attention of ( many places of the country ) in Guanambi.
