As a young and up and coming filmmaker I wanted to capture the Ethiopia of the past and reveal it's true essence in the present day. It was an experimental video I was able to put together over a weekend when I went to a rural area in Ethiopia.
To date I've made 7 short films, 2 music videos and a short documentary after joining the Blue Nile Film and Television Academy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in 2011.
Films have been a part of my life from a very young age and I feel as though it's the only medium in which I can express my self and my thoughts. It's also a way for me to express my creativity and I am looking for an opportunity improve my story telling ability which is my I think I am the best candidate for this scholarship program. There are not a lot of film school in Ethiopia for me to grow as a film maker. So please, please accept my application and give me a chance to show the world what I'm capable of.
