I was lucky enough to visit one of my favorite Himalayan trek of Manimahesh in north Indian state of Himachal. Manimahesh is sacred place for Hindus as they visit this place to worship Hindu deity Shiva(who's believed to be living in Himalayas).
One of most fascinating views during this trek is the sight of holy Mount Kailash & Manimahesh lake which signifies a jewel (Mani) on Lord Shiva's (Mahesh's) crown. This trek is around 15 k.m and starts from Hadsar town of Himachal region of north India and this place is blessed with wonders of nature's beauty of breathtaking mountain peaks and forest cover.
Traveling and photography are my two biggest passions and being geographically located near Himalayan mountain region of Himachal in north India, i've been lucky enough to explore breathtaking sights, treks and towns located in this Himalayan region of India and my thirst is never ending and i always await for opportunity to backpack along with my camera to venture new places.
I'm very much interested to get this travel photography scholarship as it will be a great opportunity for an amateur traveler & photographer like me to learn. Also this scholarship is providing once in life time experience to travel & explore Kingdom of Bhutan along with renowned photographer-John Edwards. Being fond of traveling in Himalayas of north India, this scholarship will be dream come true to explore mighty Himalayas of Kingdom of Bhutan and most importantly learning more about travel photography.
