My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Photographs have always been special to me. During tornado season in Kansas, as a child, I would fill my backpack up with all my photographs and take them with me to the shelter for safe keeping. I love capturing the details and world around me through photographs. I feel that you become one with the place and the people that you're capturing. I am passionate about learning, growing, traveling, and giving back. I want to make a difference in this world and I know that growing and being more than you thought that you could be is so important. I have been searching for an opportunity like this-it would be life changing! I have traveled and shared my photographs with co-workers and friends and I see how although they weren't there, it's like they've had a chance to see what I've seen and what is out there. I love to share my experiences. Being able to capture a place and share a story is so important and it creates peace. Having the priviledge of being mentored by Jason and capturing the essence of Oman would be incredible! I am not sure what my career path will be, but it is exciting to see what the possibilities could be after an opportunity such as this one.
