Roger and Andrea on the MS City to Shore Fundraiser- 9/2014

Dear Blog Readers,

I am going to try to keep up a blog about our upcoming trip to India, Australia and New Zealand. Roger and I have wanted to travel to Australia since we were married in 1978. Roger because he had friends from his pre-Andrea days that emigrated to Australia and me because we had some lovely people who worked at the Lakeside YMCA with us in England. I have also read some great books by Nevil Shute who wrote “A Town Like Alice”, “On The Beach”, and “The Far Country” all of which take place in Australia.  Another good read to get your interest is: “In A Sunburned Country” by Bill Bryson. We have also heard some great stories from other travelers who had made the very long journey to down under.

“Sooo…” off we go for our first trip, around the world in 3 months. We have left lots of room in the schedule for unplanned things to happen and I am sure they will. Keep posted and you will find out.
