My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

A child sat amongst lighting gear, gaffer’s tape, and c-stands inside a warehouse studio. I had an important job to do. With my ear to the big heavy door, I listened. My dad yelled, “Camera Rolling.” I flipped on the red, SILENT sign above the door. “And CUT,” I flipped the switch and watched the light turn electric green! It was an exciting atmosphere everyone working together, creating! At home, I did my own creating and naively planned to travel every country on the globe. My eyes were always tuned to my surroundings. I began drawing and painting, a passion that stayed with me. As I pursued my creativity, it’s no surprise I became captured by still photography. The new medium won the race for my attention and traveling came a close 2nd. I had been bitten. I was itching! I finagled two Study Abroad programs in College. I attended photography workshops in beautiful destinations and finally, I set out to chip away at that very ambitious childhood goal. I spent a year immersing myself in the culture of 9 countries. My love of travel photography grew and I concluded that by traveling you think you are shortening the list of countries to see but it gets longer, learning is infectious
