My Photo scholarship 2011 entry
Worldwide | Sunday, November 6, 2011 | 5 photos
My name is Ludovic and am a french photographer based in London. I have always been very passionate about photography but mostly about humanity and nature. I travel as much as I can in order to photograph the world and let people around me know what is happening on the other side of the planet. I also started to do some volunteering work as I really want to be part of the helping community. I am very lucky to live in a peaceful country and to be healthy. I feel that need to help others.
In January next year, I will volunteer through African Conservation Experience for a minimum of a month at the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in South Africa. The Moholoholo centre accommodates injured, orphaned and confiscated wildlife. It plays an important role in educating the public about wildlife conservation and provides a sanctuary to endangered wildlife. The centre also operates successful breeding programmes for endangered species.
The centre is funded almost entirely through the contributions of international volunteers. Apart from supporting the centre financially, I will also lend much needed hands on support. As a volunteer I will be responsible for the care of animals, maintenance of the enclosures and nursing injured wildlife.
I will also be photographing the wild during my time in South Africa and hopefully organise an exhibition in London upon my return. Working with a professional photographer would be an amazing opportunity and a benediction. I really hope you will like my work and you will give me a chance to participate.
My photographs bear witness before being works of art. Whereas the artist modifies reality, I try to show it as it is.
Thank you for reading the above
Best regards,
Ludovic Robert
