Rural Life Nepal

I’ve had a passion for photography from an early age and admire its ability to educate, inspire and entertain. Now I wish to follow in the footsteps of some of my favourite photographers and show viewers our planet, its people and wildlife.

Growing up in rural Devon has given me a strong connection with the land.Currently I am spending as much time as I can shooting the natural history of my surrounding area in both video and still formats. I would love to do this on a wider scale with some of the world’s greatest animals, in particular big cats and apes. As such protecting our planet is of importance to me and so documenting problems relating to climate change, loss of wildlife and natural disaster are all things I would like to do. In particular I have a great interest in human migration, therefore Sebastiao Salgado, who has photographed a similar project, remains a constant inspiration.

Photography is a way of connecting people with the wider world. To allow people a sense of escapism, to teach them something new, or show them something they have never seen in my photography are what I ultimately dream of.
