My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I first got into photography at a very young age through my love of skateboarding! Ever since I could afford a camera I have followed my friends around the world from the UK all the way to Europe, Asia and Australia! I have taken pictures of us performing stunts on many adventures and in many strange places capturing images of the local wildlife as well in these exotic locations. The exciting part is finding an unknown spot or situation to capture.
From this initial activity, I have spread my love of photography into many different areas from taking photos of local bands to my favourite pastime of capturing images of local wild life, especially insects! My mum brought me up with the colourful images of Jacques Cousteau and the wonderful world of under the sea, macro photography and the wilderness in general. Ever since then I have always wanted to take underwater pictures!
I think given an opportunity like this will improve my photography so much and I would love to listen and learn more about photo journalism and the art of taking beautiful natural pictures! Most of all though I always look forward to a good adventure and I think my passion will bring a lot to the trip!
