Working in higher education has allowed me the opportunity to live overseas and travel to many different places. Photography has allowed me to express my creative personality in a way that I cannot do in my current professional field. It has helped me grow, step outside of my comfort zone and given me the opportunity to think differently.

Although photography is not my current chosen career, I do anticipate using it as a part of my second career. I am not afraid of change, am personally accountable and willing to engage in conversations that most people would find uncomfortable or challenging. I embrace the opportunity to try new things, learn from experts and share my experiences.

If chosen for this scholarship, I would fully immerse myself in the experience and use it to fully engage with the team that I would work with.

I welcome the opportunity to discuss this experience further and hope that I am given the guidance and training that would provide me the extra skills that I may be lacking to take my photographs and storytelling abilities to a new place.
