A view of Sea Point peeks out from between the saddle of Lion's Head and Signal Hill, nestled between shore and mountain.
Table Mountain is a sacred place, mythically, to the nomadic hunter gatherers that lived in this region. Known as the "Place of Sweet Waters", it's bubbling springs with rain filtered by tons of sandstone over hundreds of years, has acted as a beacon for nomads, travellers and eventually settlers. In this picture, though barely visible, is an old mosque on the saddle of Lion's head. Nearby are some muslim graves (kramats), some of which are believed to predate the arrival of Western Settlers.
