I have said, “Through the eyes of children I hear the echoes of my soul,” and “I thought I wanted to travel…turns out I need to travel to find my way home. And so I pray.”

Many consider me the most driven person they know. Lacking classical training and using a “point-and-shoot” my photographs cause people to hold their breath; stop; ask questions.

I am passionate about seeing beauty, pursuing excellence, connection, Truth. Photography is a tool I must wield in order to be seen and heard. The perfect shot is attained because trust has been established. In order to capture the essence of a moment authentic vulnerability is required.

To move the world. To articulate life of the “other” so that we might be able to deconstruct the system that negotiates a politic of “not enough.” To give a voice to the humanity in the “other” that you do not see, to make the beauty of the photo your beauty; the depth a reflection of your vulnerability. I want my images to give inspiration for the greatness of your voice, your identity. To encourage life.

A friend’s mission statement reads, “To convince … through the photographic lens that God exists and nothing can separate us from His love.” For me, the integrity of the shot is in the search for beauty based on the knowledge, my subject has value. That value is God-given; the lens probes to see what has become hidden to the common eye.

My journey must include you! I am eager to connect, grow, serve, and go! My story is simple, I smile and laugh. I have joy. I am blessed. I work hard. People are drawn to the light shining through me. I am a woman of faith.
