Let your restless feet wander

My Scholarship entry - Not all those who wander are lost

Cambodia | Monday, November 24, 2014 | 5 photos

Hello!

My name is Louise. I am 26, an anthropologist and the daughter of adventures. They took me travelling with them when I was growing up to encounter new people, old souls, new places, old histories, new discoveries, old cultures and new dreams. It lit a match that sparked a light in my head and enabled me to feel the pulse of the universe. From then on I have been forever indebted to chase adventures on faraway shores.

I would love the opportunity to go on an adventure to Peru and the Amazon with Jason Edwards. Not only were my parents and our adventures a source of constant inspiration for exploration but the photographs in National Geographic were dog-eared and torn out in an attempt to capture rich histories and cultures from around the world. I was lucky enough to go to South America last year but unfortunately my camera got stolen. It was just another travel adventure but as well as losing my photographs I lost the opportunity to attempt to capture an incredible world. I would love to learn how to capture the thrill that traveling invokes onto paper. To be able to convey the stories that exists in the hearts of people and places encountered in a single photo.

Gracias
