My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I first fell in love with photography almost 20 years ago as a Year 9 student. We would spend the first part of our lesson's exploring the school grounds and often hanging out with the Senior students. Once in the dark room, that is where the magic happened, seeing your image appear in the developing tray was quite something. Now we are in the digital age, instant gratification, you instantly know if you have a good shot or not, the magic happens in a different way. As the years went on my two favourite hobbies would prove to be photography and travel. I have been fortunate enough to travel varied parts of the world and take many a memory home with me. What I love most about photography is the ability to forever capture a moment in time, a memory, a story. To be able to develop proper skills and learn from a master of photojournalism would be a priceless opportunity and one that I would be forever grateful for. I would love to be given this opportunity, should it not be me I wish the victor all the best.
